Varun Tej’s Bhari Reportedly Bags a Huge OTT Deal With Netflix

Mega Prince Varun Tej is gearing up for his next film, Bhari, a rural sports drama set against the backdrop of volleyball. The film is directed by Yadhu Vamsi, who shot to fame with Committee Kurrollu.

Varun Tej recently suffered an injury while preparing for the film and underwent surgery. He has since recovered and is expected to resume his work.

Meanwhile, reports suggest that Netflix has acquired the digital streaming rights to Bhari for a hefty price even before the film's shooting has begun. The reported deal has generated interest, with industry sources pointing to the success of Niharika Konidela's Pink Elephant Pictures as a possible factor behind the platform's interest in the project. However, the reported OTT deal is yet to be officially confirmed.

Varun Tej's father, Nagababu, will play a key role in the film, while Anoop Dev is composing the music. The makers are planning to release Bhari in the second half of 2027.
