The final box-office fate of The Paradise remains to be seen, but there is little doubt about the film’s massive pre-release hype, strong advance bookings and impressive opening-day collections. The film has opened on a scale usually associated with Tier-1 stars, underlining Nani’s growing market strength.

Industry observers note that a few years ago, a lifetime gross of ₹50 crore was considered a major achievement for the actor. Today, The Paradise has reportedly generated opening-day numbers far beyond that benchmark, reflecting the impact of its promotional campaign, songs and strong pre-release buzz.

While fans have been celebrating Nani’s achievement, discussions on social media have increasingly focused on comparisons with other leading stars, particularly Mahesh Babu. Posts highlighting The Paradise's opening numbers against some of Mahesh’s past records have fuelled debates among fan groups.

Such comparisons have naturally drawn reactions from Mahesh Babu’s supporters. Nani has generally enjoyed goodwill across fan bases and has largely remained free from major fan rivalries. However, social media discussions comparing the two actors have created friction between sections of their respective fan communities.

Many fans and trade watchers argue that while The Paradise has delivered a remarkable opening, the film’s long-term box-office performance will ultimately determine its place among the year’s biggest successes. They also point out that consistency over multiple films is often considered a key factor when assessing an actor’s market standing.

Mahesh Babu, meanwhile, continues to command one of the strongest fan bases and markets in Telugu cinema. With his upcoming projects generating significant anticipation, comparisons between the two stars remain a subject of debate among fans.

For now, The Paradise has undoubtedly given Nani one of the biggest openings of his career. Whether that translates into sustained box-office success will become clearer in the coming weeks.
