Ranabaali Clears Censor Board Without Cuts; US Premieres Set for October 15
Despite the intense violence shown in its promotional material, the Vijay Deverakonda–Rashmika Mandanna period action drama is reportedly heading to theaters with a U/A certificate and no censor-mandated cuts.

Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s upcoming Telugu film Ranabaali has reportedly received a U/A certificate from India's Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) without a single cut, ahead of its theatrical release on October 16, 2026.
The reported clearance has generated interest because the promotional material released so far features intense action and violent confrontations. Despite those sequences, reports suggest that the censor board did not require any deletions or modifications.
Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, Ranabaali is a period action drama set against the backdrop of British colonial rule and the devastating famine of the 1870s. The story centers on a rebellious warrior from Rayalaseema who challenges colonial oppression.
Vijay Deverakonda plays the title character, while Rashmika Mandanna portrays Jayamma. Hollywood actor Arnold Vosloo, known for his role in The Mummy, appears as the British antagonist Sir Theodore Hector.
Sankrityan has described the film as an alternate-history fantasy rather than a conventional historical biopic, combining a fictional narrative with themes of resistance and exploitation.
Produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar under Mythri Movie Makers, in association with T-Series, the film features music composed by Ajay-Atul.
The film's exact certified runtime remains unclear. Initial reports suggested approximately 150 minutes, while some ticketing platforms list a duration exceeding three hours. An authoritative confirmation of the final runtime is still awaited.
