Nani’s The Paradise Rakes in Rs 170 Crore Despite Negative Talk
Updated: Oct 10
Nani’s The Paradise, which hit theatres last month amid huge expectations, has successfully entered its third week at the box office and recorded some interesting numbers.
The film created a sensation on its opening day by reportedly collecting more than Rs 80 crore in gross revenue, even without releasing a trailer.
However, despite the strong opening, The Paradise faced overwhelmingly negative word of mouth after its theatrical release. As a result, the big budget film was limited to fewer theatres from its second week onwards.
Despite the mixed response, Nani managed to draw audiences during the opening week, with the film reportedly collecting an impressive Rs 170 crore so far.
The collections are noteworthy given the negative buzz surrounding the film. Trade observers may wonder whether the box office performance would have been even stronger had the film received positive word of mouth.
