Gomathy Reddy Makes Telugu Film Debut With Pallaburusu
Femina Miss India Andhra Pradesh 2023 Gomathy Reddy has entered Telugu cinema with Pallaburusu, a comedy-drama that opened in theatres on August 14, 2026. She appears alongside Muralidhar Goud, Kethiri Sudhakar Reddy and Prajwal Yadma.
Written and directed by Uday Chauhan, Pallaburusu is set against a rural Telangana backdrop and revolves around a father-son relationship, mixing comedy with family drama. Annapurna Studios and EPIC Studios jointly presented and produced the film, with Aditya Pittie and Vivek Krishnani serving as producers for EPIC Studios.
For Gomathy, the film marks a shift from the pageant stage to the big screen. She represented Andhra Pradesh at Femina Miss India 2023 and now begins a new phase of her career as an actor.
Another former Andhra Pradesh Miss India titleholder is also moving into a new entertainment space. Femina reported that Srishti Vyakaranam, Femina Miss India Andhra Pradesh 2017, has been selected among the contestants for Bigg Boss Agnipariksha Season 2, the pre-show connected to Bigg Boss Telugu 10. Star Maa launched the second season of Agnipariksha on August 15.
Srishti previously represented India at Miss Asia Pacific International 2016, where she finished in the Top 10, before winning the Andhra Pradesh title at Femina Miss India the following year.
