Chiranjeevi Dismisses Claims of Profiting From Blood Donations
Megastar Chiranjeevi marked 48 years in the film industry on Sunday, reflecting on his journey, work ethic, and the importance of discipline during an interaction with fans at a Mega Youth Force event.
The veteran actor, who made his debut with Pranam Khareedu in 1978 and is currently working on Kaka, said time is the most valuable asset in life. While money can be earned again, lost time can never be recovered, he noted, urging fans to make the best use of every moment and remain focused on their goals.
Recalling criticism he faced over running a blood bank, Chiranjeevi dismissed allegations that he profits from blood donations. "Some people say I sell blood through my blood bank. Compared to my remuneration, how many crores of blood packets would have to be sold to match that amount?" he remarked, calling such claims baseless. He added that the blood bank operates without seeking financial support from others and credited fans for their immense contribution to its success.
The actor also highlighted the importance of discipline in achieving success. Sharing details of his daily routine, Chiranjeevi said he wakes up at 4.30 a.m., exercises for an hour, gets ready for work, and reaches the film set by 8 a.m.
"Even if I arrive late, nobody would question me. But if I don't follow discipline, what message does it send to the rest of the team?" he said, adding that everyone, from a labourer to the President of the United States, has the same 24 hours in a day and must use them wisely.
Chiranjeevi further encouraged fans to remain united and avoid wasting time on negativity. He said he believes more in hard work than luck and motivates himself during difficult times by maintaining a positive mindset.
Emphasising harmony among fan groups, the actor said all film stars share cordial relationships and that fans should reflect the same spirit. He expressed hope that the bond between him and his admirers would continue to grow stronger in the years ahead.
