Lyca Surprises Fans With Bharateeyudu 3 Plans
Updated: Oct 9
The disappointing response to Bharateeyudu 2, also known as Indian 2, had raised doubts over whether the makers would proceed with the planned third instalment. The project had also been surrounded by production related issues involving Lyca Productions and director S Shankar, particularly over the filmmaker’s commitments to Game Changer.
Despite the speculation, Lyca Productions has now officially announced Indian 3, giving fans a major surprise. The third instalment is expected to explore the backstory of Senapathy, the character played by Kamal Haasan.
Indian 2 offered glimpses of Senapathy’s past, including events from the period before the original Indian. These portions hinted at an intriguing chapter in his life, and the latest announcement has sparked speculation that Indian 3 could expand on that storyline.
The announcement has generated considerable interest among fans, especially with Shankar returning to direct the franchise. Known for mounting films on a grand scale, the filmmaker’s next chapter in the Indian franchise is now being closely watched.
More details about the film’s storyline, cast and production schedule are expected to be announced by the makers in the coming days.
