Anupama Parameswaran Opens Up About Painful Experiences, Says She Considered Quitting Acting
Actress Anupama Parameswaran has opened up about the difficult experiences she faced in her personal life, revealing that the emotional distress caused by harassment once made her consider giving up acting.
During an interview as part of the promotions for her latest film Crazy Kalyanam, the actress spoke about the struggles she endured and how she found the courage to move forward despite the challenges.
Recalling those difficult days, Anupama said every day felt like a battle, leaving her unable to enjoy life wholeheartedly. She revealed that she constantly had to fight one challenge or another and would feel relieved at the end of each day simply to have made it through.
Life had become a challenge, she said, adding that she even considered quitting acting during that phase. However, she eventually gathered the courage to continue. Looking back, she said there were moments when she would look at herself in the mirror and wonder how she had managed to endure everything.
Anupama also admitted that she initially feared facing criticism if she spoke publicly about her experiences. However, the response she received was far more supportive than she had anticipated, with many people standing by her and offering encouragement.
The actress said she was prepared to face criticism if sharing her experiences could give even a few people the courage to speak up and deal with their own struggles.
Meanwhile, Crazy Kalyanam, featuring Anupama as Keerthi, hit theatres on Friday. The actress has been promoting the film through interviews and public interactions.
