Meenakshi Chaudhary Reportedly Set for Guest Role in Chiranjeevi-Bobby Kolli’s Mega158 movie
The actress is said to have a special appearance rather than the female-lead role, while reports also point to a new Chiranjeevi look for a key flashback sequence.

Meenakshi Chaudhary is reportedly joining Chiranjeevi’s upcoming film with director Bobby Kolli, tentatively referred to as Mega158. However, she is said to be appearing in a guest role rather than playing the film’s female lead. Her casting has not yet been officially announced by the production house.
The reported appearance is one of several details beginning to emerge about the Chiranjeevi–Bobby reunion. According to industry reports, the film’s second half features an important flashback in which Chiranjeevi will be presented in a different look, with his character during that portion said to have a mafia connection. The makers have not officially disclosed those story details.
Family emotions are also expected to form an important part of the narrative, alongside the commercial-action elements associated with the project. Bobby is reportedly looking to present Chiranjeevi in multiple shades rather than simply recreating the template of their previous collaboration.
The film arrives at an interesting stage in Chiranjeevi’s recent career. Bobby previously directed him in the 2023 Sankranti release Waltair Veerayya, which emerged as a major commercial success; Cinema Express reported that the film crossed Rs 200 crore worldwide during its theatrical run.
That success was followed later in 2023 by Meher Ramesh’s Bhola Shankar. The remake of the Tamil film Vedalam failed to make an impact at the box office, giving Chiranjeevi contrasting results from his two releases that year.
Chiranjeevi returned to theatres in January 2026 with Anil Ravipudi’s Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, co-starring Nayanthara and featuring Venkatesh in an extended appearance. Released for Sankranti on January 12, the action-comedy became a major commercial success. The Indian Express subsequently reported worldwide collections of more than Rs 350 crore and described it as the highest-grossing film of Chiranjeevi’s career.
He also has Vassishta’s fantasy adventure Vishwambhara awaiting release. The UV Creations production stars Trisha Krishnan opposite Chiranjeevi, with MM Keeravaani composing the music. Although different release dates have circulated, a firm new date has not yet been officially announced.
Against that backdrop, Mega158 also gives Chiranjeevi an opportunity to revisit a director-star combination that worked strongly with audiences in Waltair Veerayya, this time following the success of Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu.
Production on the Bobby Kolli film is already underway. The team completed a schedule in Pollachi before continuing filming, while reports from the production have identified Anaswara Rajan among those playing important roles.
KVN Productions is backing the project, with the film currently being positioned for a Sankranti 2027 theatrical release. More official casting announcements — including clarity on Meenakshi Chaudhary’s reported appearance — are awaited.
